BEFORE YOU REQUEST EQUIPMENT

Is an existing gas connection enough?

No. The supply must meet the selected generator’s pressure and flow requirements during operation and load changes. Confirm the requirements with the equipment manufacturer and the professionals responsible for the gas system.

Output and duty

Required kW or kVA, voltage, phase, frequency, load profile, and operating duty. Identify whether the request is for standby or regular operation.

Fuel supply

Available gas type, confirmed pressure and flow, and the party responsible for verifying supply capacity. Mark unknown information for follow-up.

Site and enclosure

Project location, enclosure and sound requirements, available space, and specifications for emissions, permitting, and accessories.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Can a diesel specification be replaced with natural gas?

Treat a fuel change as a project-design decision. The selected equipment must meet the required electrical performance, duty, site, and fuel-supply conditions. Obtain the required approvals before substituting equipment.

What if fuel information is missing?

Send the specifications you have and identify what is unconfirmed. The final equipment selection should wait until the fuel supply has been checked against the selected unit’s requirements.
