Build one equipment file before asking for offers
Start with the unit’s identity and your authority to offer it for sale. State whether it is installed, disconnected, or already removed. Identify any other party whose approval is needed before an agreement can be made.
- Make, model, serial number, output, voltage, phase, frequency, and fuel.
- Hour-meter information, prior application, maintenance records, and available test reports.
- Known faults, missing components, damage, and repairs still needed.
- Tank, enclosure, transfer equipment, and accessories included in the proposed sale.
- Equipment location, site access, and the date it must be removed.
What information belongs in a value discussion?
Ask an interested buyer to review the specific equipment rather than a broad category such as ‘500 kW generator.’ Provide the condition evidence and handoff scope with the specification. If there is an asking price, state it alongside those details.
A removal deadline is a commercial condition, so put it in the first conversation. Do the same for access restrictions, required insurance, site working hours, and any approval process. They should be visible when the offer is prepared.
Dixiana Power does not provide an automatic online valuation or promise a buyer. Submissions are reviewed individually, and any price, fee, or commission is confirmed in writing.
Prepare photos that answer useful questions
Use existing safe access and available records. Leave opening, disconnecting, testing, and moving equipment to qualified personnel. The inquiry form accepts text details; photo transfer is arranged during follow-up.
- Full views of the unit and enclosure from accessible sides.
- Readable nameplates and hour-meter or control-panel display.
- Included accessories and any disconnected or loose components.
- Known damage and missing items.
- The surrounding access and loading area.
Compare what each offer leaves you responsible for
Resolve open items before granting removal access. Keep the written equipment list, agreement, and handoff records together.
| Commercial term | Question to settle |
|---|---|
| Price and fees | What amount is offered and which charges or commissions apply? |
| Inspection | Is the offer conditional, and how are inspection findings handled? |
| Removal | Who disconnects, lifts, loads, transports, and restores the site? |
| Timing | When is payment due, and when does the equipment leave? |
| Included items | Does the agreement identify every component transferring with the unit? |
Common questions
Can I submit a generator that is still installed?
Yes. State that it is still connected and describe the location, access, and removal requirements. Disconnection and removal responsibilities must be agreed separately.
Will Dixiana buy every generator submitted?
No. Submitting equipment starts a review and does not guarantee an offer, purchase, or sale. Specific commercial terms are discussed for each opportunity.
